Plan Your Visit to First Parish Chelmsford

We’re thrilled that you’re considering visiting First Parish Chelmsford! Whether you’re new to the area, searching for a spiritual community, or simply curious to learn more about us, we’re excited to welcome you. Here’s a simple guide to help you plan your visit and make the most of your time with us.

1. Explore Our Website:
Before your visit, take some time to explore our website. You’ll find information about our beliefs, mission, and various programs we offer. This will give you a better understanding of who we are as a community.

2. Check our Service Time:
Regular Services in the Sanctuary  9/10/23 – 6/16/24
Summer Services start 6/23/24 – 9/8/24
During the regular church year, we hold our service at 10am in the Sanctuary.  In the summer, we move our services to 9AM in our air-conditioned Chapel.

3. Plan Your Arrival:
On the day of your visit, aim to arrive a little early. This will give you time to find parking, locate the main entrance on Westford St, and get settled before the service begins. Our friendly greeters will be available to assist you and answer any questions you might have.
We have a small parking lot, but we have reserved spots for newcomers.  Please feel free to use them!   Other parking options, along with directions to the church if you need them, are available on our directions page

4. Dress Comfortably:
There’s no strict dress code at First Parish. We believe in coming as you are, so feel free to dress comfortably and in a way that makes you feel at ease.

5. Childcare and Youth Programs:
If you have children, we offer safe and engaging childcare and youth programs during our services. Children and youth will have a positive and enjoyable experience.

6. Worship Experience:
During the service, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in worship through music, readings, and reflections. Feel free to participate at your own comfort level, and know that no prior experience is required.

7. Connect with Others:
After the service, we invite you to join us for refreshments in the Vestry (the church hall downstairs from the sanctuary) and a chance to connect with people in our church. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, ask questions, and start building connections within the community.

8. Ask Questions:
We understand that you might have questions about our church, its teachings, and how to get involved. Don’t hesitate to approach our minister, Director of Lifespan Faith Formation, leaders, or any friendly faces you meet. We’re here to help!

9. Get Involved:
Get to know us better by exploring various ministries, small groups, and volunteer opportunities that align with your interests and skills.

10. Stay Connected:
Stay updated with our events, sermons, and community news by subscribing to our newsletter or following us on social media. This way, you can continue to engage with our community even outside of the worship services.

We can’t wait to meet you and share the joys of community, worship, and growth at First Parish Chelmsford. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or if there’s anything we can do to assist you in planning your visit. See you soon!
